Hello,
So, my beloved LG V10 went into bootloop mode this past Saturday while web browsing, after 22 months of faithful service. I didn't even know what the freak bootloop meant until I went to Verizon yesterday to try to get it fixed. Out of warranty, only option was to buyout my 2 months remaining on my contract and get another phone, which I did because I have to have a phone for work. Turns out this issue is pretty widespread with a few of their models, including the V10 and G4. There's even a class action lawsuit underway. So, I closed my eyes and called LG this morning. Surprisingly, I got through to a live rep pretty quickly, and could understand the person I was speaking with. Turns out, they are offering to repair or replace phones stuck in bootloop, for free. If you can stand the 2 week wait, they will pay for everything. If you need it done sooner, they offer a 1-week expedited service for 32.00, which I opted for so I can return the phone I bought and get my money back.
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
